Anyone who regularly reads this blog knows I hold Jeremiah Owyang in high esteem. That is why I am so happy to announce that he will be joining Deb Schultz, the Social Media Club folk and me at Starting the Conversation, a day-long workshop for corporate communications professionals June 11 in the Palo Alto SAP headquarters.
Jeremiah's current job at PodTech has him helping corporations with social media strategies. Before that, he helped Hitachi, one of the world's most topdown organizations tiptoe its way into the blogosphere with the Data Storage industry wiki, an information-sharing rsource for the entire data storage community. He then braided social media with face-to-face social networking by having Hitachi Data Systems host a Lunch 2.0 event that brought 250 social media advocates into the usually staid Santa Clara headquarters.
Jeremiah will be telling attendees about his experiences as a corporate evangelist for social media. And he will be advising them on how they can adapt what he has done to their own needs. He will also be adressing one of my hot topics--the power of online vide as a corroate social media tool.
Welcome Jeremiah. Thanks for joining our team.
