Reuters is reporting on a "Future of Journalism"survey taken last fall of over 1250 teachers in Grades 5 through 12 showing that 57% of them regularly use online resources. Only 28%, or about half use daily newspapers and a mere 13 percent refer students to local TV news.
"Students do not relate to newspapers," one teach is reported to have said.
Boy, this has happened fast. I wonder what the numbers were five years ago. What do you think they will be, moving five years forward.
This, of course, reinforces a central premise of Global Neighborhoods. If you want to understand what the business world will look like in a few short years, look at the generation that will be coming in to it and replacing the boomer generation.
