I'm just back from my last client meeting before going on the world trip. The rest of the week is spent dusting up details and figuring out what to pack in a carry on suitcase that will get me through 33 days on the road. The next time I consult will be in October.
I'm a fulltime writer again. And while that feels good, the quality of the folk I've been dealing with in recent weeks has convinced me, I'll always be working with startups.
My last meeting today was with Evan Krauss,[the blog hasn't really gotten going yet, but it will) CEO of a company, I'll wager you have not yet heard about named CUTS. Evan is a prince of a guy, which made working with him fun and motivated me to do my best. He's also a talented guy, so giving him some pointers on how to present at DEMOfall Sept. 27 made him very good very fast.
Because he's launching at DEMO, I can't tell you everything want to to tell you about the product, but I will say that CUTS is a way to let you do with the movies and video you own, whatever it is that you'd like to do.
This is important, and is a place where I share passion. There may still be laws that prevent us from doing what we want with our own property but there's also a document that tells people what they should do about unjust laws.
Our digital rights, and our right to choose a great many things is inalienable and self-evident. CUTS is destined to be the next one up to fight the good fight and in that light, I'm pretty proud to have played some small role in its getting started.
