In my previous post, I listed a series of questions that Global Neighborhoods will attempt to address. Toronto's Pete Dawson may have saved me and future book purchasers the time and money. He has answered my questions with remarkable vision and passion.
What will the world look like five years from now, I asked. Here's part of what Pete sees:
"...the world will be more connected. Nanogadets will be part of the clothes you clothes wear. People will be able to read text in their language of choice. A simple "translate this" button will permit a web page to be converted (without loss of context) into the readers language of choice. People will tele immerse themselves via mobile video all over. Imagine that I can attend a video conference call, in a train via my cell phone.
Thanks, Pete. You were a big help on Naked Conversations, and here you are at the beginning of my new project. But, if it's all the same to you, I'm still going ahead with the world tour and the new book.
But if anyone else wants to post answers to my questions on their blog, please let me know. I am very interested in people's views on this subject.
