Connie Benson Joining ShashiB at Network Solutions
Connie Benson, one of those old friends that I have never met face-to-face has just announced she will be joining Shashi Bellamkonda as a social media honcho at Network Solutions where she will contribute to the SolutionsArePower.com blog.
From where I sit, these are two bright, decent and hard-working social media champions. I interviewed Shashi back in February, not long after Shashi became the first Network Solutions social media person. Now they have doubled their force.
Both are active and well known on Twitter as well [@conniebenson & @shashib].

Thanks Shel! Your comments mean a lot. Your book was one of the first titles I read when I started building community online.
I look forward to meeting you soon in person. And yes! with Shashi's commitment, it will be quite an adventure! :)
In addition to blogging I'll be on the watch for customers in need & promoting Network Solutions' many products.

Connie, I have met Shel, and, trust me, you shouldn't be so anxious.....kidding, Shel!
Congrats on the new position, Connie! Proves one can work from anywhere these days, huh? Yes, even northwestern Minnesota... :-)
See ya at our next Social Media Breakfast.
(And, Shel, ping me if you have time for an adult beverage when you're in Minneapolis.)
cheers,
Graeme

Graeme,
I'd love to get that invite to Minneapolis but it has not yet come. I'm having dinner tonight with some folk from Best Buy who will be on WorkFast tomorrow, so my connection keeps getting stronger with the land of a thousand lakes.

Hi Shel,
Thanks for the post and mention. You have encouraged me a lot even if publicly we have not been trading tweets. I know a lot of peoplem in the social media who consider you a mentor and I will have th honor too. I am privileged that Connie is on board helping us connect with our customers wherever they are.
