Once more with the Hughtrain?

That Hugh MacLeod, boy oh boy.
Every now and then while bending an elbow at the bar he seems to have nothing to say. So he hauls out that aging cartoon and that aging post that have come to be universally known as the Hughtrain Manifesto.
I know about aging. And when I read something I already read I have to wonder: 'Am I having a senior moment?' And if I am, have I had that moment before? That's how I felt when he hauled out this oldie from 2004 (They didn't have tweets back then, young man).
I reread it again a few minutes ago. I looked at the cartoon with the same curiosity about the lines on the left and where they would lead to.
And every time I read the Hughtrain Manifesto, I am stopped absolutely cold by the sheer brilliance of it, at the mixture of softness and edginess; at the brilliance and the simplicity. IMHO it is on a short list of the greatest posts ever blogged. Or is it greatest blogs ever posted?
But I gush too much.
If you have never seen it, go read it. If you think you remember it, go read it and begin refreshed in your personal search for things to believe in. And if, like me, you have an aging memory (My kids have this joke about 'old Shel, he don't remember so well, no more...), take notes and leave them in a conspicuous place.
Thank you, Hugh. And if I've already written this to you, please disregard. Nw where did I leave my spectacles.
