Facebook stats for Ireland: 132 K, mostly young.
Damien Mulley has extracted some useful numbers for Irish Facebook users. There are 131,700 of them and 118,000 of them are under age 35. Of those who identified their gender, there are 52,000 women and 37.5 thousand men. The top employer of the Facebook crowd is Microsoft.
I'd love to see how these numbers compare with Bebo and what the growth rates are of the two social networks.

At the start of 2006 there were apparently 6k people on Facebook with about 800k on Bebo. Bebo had roughly 100 times the audience. Now we still have around that amount on Bebo but according to these stats I checked there are 131k on Facebook? 20 fold increase over 10 months? Even taking the stats I was given in September (from a very reliable source) which said 70k, that's an increase by a factor of 10 in 8 months.
Not sure can I totally trust the flyers tool for stats but from my own experience I find new people from my Gmail addressbook on it almost every second day when I check it out so I think there's definitely been some explosive growth in the past few weeks. College has also started so the Bebo kids might be moving over but am not sure has the number of people in Ireland doubled in two months.
Wonder could some Facebook people provide data?
