Facebook Flyers: Bid on two hours of my time
The ubiquitous Jeremiah (he's down to one name) has Tweeted that Charlene Li has experimented with Facebook Flyers and received huge results. So I thought, I'd give it a try. I am offering two hours of consulting on social media to the high bidder. It will be by phone or webcam if geography is involved. I also didn't say how to contact me, but a comment here or emailing me would do the trip.
I'll give half of what you bid to Room to Read, my favorite cause.
OK, I bid $200. That's all the cash I got on me :)

OK Rob, you are the high bidder and for cash we make special considerations.

Heh. Cash rocks. Would be cool if I "won" though - I would then have to struggle with which of my clients I invited to share the time with you. Or maybe I get them all on a single call! That could be fun (and educational).

Rob, if you win, you get to put as many folk on the line as you wish. it would be fun.

Oh come on folks, 5 hours of Shel's time is got to be worth a tremendous amount. Be sure to check out his experience with preparing leaders for Demo.

Jeremiah,
Thanks for the boost. But I offered two hours of my time. With half going to charity, Bob's offer puts me at $50 an hour. I assure you that is a deep discount.

$250, which makes you worth $125/hour.
A bargain at twice the price!

OK, up it $50 to $300. I'll hit up the ATM on the way home.

Bidding still open? I'll pony up $300.

Gotta go bigger Wayne.
And yeah - when is the bidding open? I think I can take $300/day out of my ATM (it just makes money, right?).
But what's the deadline?

Wayne,
Rob was in first at $300. There's still six days left in the competition.

Hey bidders, Half the money will go to Room to Read, the best fighter of illiteracy in the world.

I'll go for $350.

@ Wayne - I think it's only fair to tell you that on this post: http://redcouch.typepad.com/weblog/2007/10/i-feel-so-cheap.html#comments
I had already bumped it to $400.
