Scoble is not speaking at PostieCon, the intended conference of the Pay per Post crowd. He notes that he has been heavily criticized for agreeing to keynote by friends and enemies alike. I am among the friends who thought this was among Robert's greatest lapses in judgment.
But it turns out that Robert's reversal was not due to some great light going off in the sky over his head. Instead, PostieCon is postponed due to a paucity of people wishing to attend. Score a big one for the wisdom of crowds.
Robert has good reason to not speak at the newly scheduled event. He and Maryam are scheduled to have their baby in August. A wise decision Robert. But just think, as Pay per Post's popularity continues to wane, they may keep postponing the conference. By the time they can actually reach critical mass, you newborn may be able to drive you to the airport.

hehehe.. I split my morning coffee on this sentence.... "By the time they can actually reach critical mass, you newborn may be able to drive you to the airport." !!

Hi Shel,
Actually our son is due on September 17th not August, and Robert has promised not to travel for a few months and actually come home and spend time with the baby :)
