VCs using kids to decide on social media investments

The New York Times has a Page 1 article on VCs using their own kids, interns and young receptionists to understand habits of the kids who will be using new social media services as well as online games. The article spotlights Heidi Roizen, now a Mobius VC and mother of two.  Heidi was my first or second client, when I started, SIPR my PR firm back in 1987 when she and I were still the target demographic.

I'm laboring on my publisher's proposal for Global Neighborhoods today.  This article is perfect for me because I'm outlining a chapter tentatively called, "If you want to see the future, look at your kids."

Hi

Interesting article. I have been watching my kids using new media for quite a few years, it is very instructive as noted. Also, I am interested that VC's are starting to pick things up so early.

I've blogged about a few of my observations here at broadstuff and linked to this article.
