Is MonthlyDollar Worth the Money?

I sort of stumbled across monthlydollar pretty recently and realized that this is one that had to happen. An anonymous blogger will advertise your name for $1 a month. Maybe he or she actually has a name on his or her blog, but it would have cost me a paypal buck to find out.

Monthly dollar doesn't call it an ad, however.  He or she claims to be the internet's first employee, and all of us internet users can be his or her boss. Being his boss... oh nevermind. Here's the way he or she explains it:

By supporting me you'll get access to private sections on my blog where I'll ask for suggestions, post business ideas and keep you updated on my progress.

Additionally, your name and website will appear onthe anonymous employee's "my boss" list.

Personally, I think this is an award winning idea. Whoever is behind this idea deserves the Billiard Table Award.  Just think of what a billiard table has a lot of, and you'll figure out who deserves the honor.

(NOTE: I have edited a phrase from the original to clarify a point.)

What I really get, however, is a really cheap way to be an early adopter of a technological innovation that may turn into something big. If not, I'm out twelve bucks a year. That's what I pay just for certified mail fees for my April tax payments. [Read More]
