Amplify Lance's Voice. Link to Him
Our friend Lance Dutson at Maine Web Report has become incensed with some political pork barrelling going on in the State of Maine. I have not dug into this story, but I believe Lance to be someone of integrity, so I believe his side of the story to be the truthful one.
The problem is that if you do a search on the kickback scheme he seems to have unraveled, Lance's many blogs on the topic only appear on Google's second page. But if you join me by linking here, here and here, that will change very quickly, won't it.
Heh, as that Redmond guy says, how often can you use a little link love to help reveal government wrongdoing?

Thanks so much for paying attention to this-
Maine businesses are getting creamed by the state government's AdWords and Overture campaigns. Basically they have been buying any search with the term 'Maine' in it, and specifically the most frequently searched municipality names.
This post is a godsend, thanks again guys and I'll keep you updated!

I'd like to do a news report on the concerns Lance Dutson has about the on-line advertising policy of the Maine Office of Tourism...Is it having an adverse impact on small merchants by competing directly with them..If you want to share an opinion, my number in Portland is 874-6570

now, i wouldn't expect blog comment spam on the Naked Conversations blog of all places - How Blogs are Changing the Way Businesses Talk with Customers?
i must admit, though, that i have abandoned sites that i don't keep up with much anymore. i try to keep things in place to either alert me to the existence of or disallow comment spam altogether.
anyway, it just seemed a little ironic. ;)

It's hard to keep up with all of these.

I'll be taking these down in a minute K Paul. Just so you know, I spend as much as an hour per day removing comment and trackback spam from three blogs. Sometimes something gets past us.

Well it looks like the gang at the State of Maine is busting out the big guns...just received a letter from attorneys threatening to sue if I don't remove my blog.
Man is unchecked power a scary thing!
