ZD Net's Dan Farber reports on recent interaction with Nick Carr, author of the artcile and book, "Does IT Matter." Farber reports:
Nick Carr responded to my post about "Why blogging matters," characterizing blogging as mostly superficial and impressionistic, and suggesting that the blogosphere is a "fantasy community crowded with isolated egos pretending to connect."
Nick sold a bunch of books briefly on his "Does IT Matter?" He argued that it did not. Most people considered his arguments, then shrugged and considered him absolutely wrong on the IT issue. I think Nick is about to have history repeat it's judgement on his judgements.
But this time, someone else will get to sell the books.
