We're on Amazon. People are Ordering!

Raanan Avidar over at Murphy's Law left a comment this morning and it was the first I knew that you could pre-order Naked Conversations on Amazon.com. What a thrill.  We haven't finished ARs (Author Revisions) yet, and their is no jacket design, but

And people are ordering, I understand.Amazon already ranks us at 934, 760, so we have some room for improvement I guess.  But nevertheless what a thrill. Robert and will both autograph the first 100 copies of the book as I said previously, but we still need to work out the logistics on that one.If you are interested in pre-ordering, please wait a day or so while Robert and I figure out how to make this site an Amazon affilliate.  We make out a little better that way.

Now a correction--and a bunch of thanks.

Pete Dawson, sorry you were not the first. Jeremy Wright ordered three books before you did and I flaked on it because I was still finishing up the final chapter.  And Jeremy is also going to be first with a book. His Blog Marketing can also be pre-ordered at Amazon and is available in October. Both Pete and Jeremy are Canadians and they are our first two customers.  Let's hear for hands accross that Northern border. Mike Saint, a personal friend of 35 years--we were both reporters at the Quincy (MA) Patriot Ledger is our first American customer and he's buying 20 copies. Let's hear it for American-sized volume purchases. So we are on the way.

Oh what a beautiful morning.

I guess the popularity of your new book has taken out Amazon. It's responding "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable" right now :)

Any news on your book signing tour? When is the Dallas stop? :-)

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Shel, I've been watching, and I've seen your book as high as 250,000. I think you've got the URL for my book wrong, as it's choking out in your post (appreciate the link btw!).

Heh. And Jeremy thought I had just screwed up the link to his book. It must be that Amazon can't scale to the amzing sales demand our two books are generating.

Pre-ordered! Can't wait to get a hold of the book. :-)

Just checked Amazon, "Naked Conversations" hit 31,000!! You broke six digits -- which seems pretty awesome this far out. Congratulations! And when you get to four digits, your publisher starts to smile. If you STAY in the four digits, you all make money. I have no doubt that's where you're headed (I'm guessing you'll spend some time in single-digits before this is over), although the most dramatic spikes don't usually come until the book starts shipping.

Let your Amazon ranking addiction begin. : )

Kathy,

Since 5:30 this morning, we've gone up over 900,000 places. How can this be? We don't even have a jacket design yet. I just don't know what to say.

Shel: Lots of folk are pre-ordering. Your book (and likely thanks to this post, mine as well). Congrats on getting under 25,000!

Hecka good response !! I'll wait for afflilation to take place on the site before I pre-order.

Hey Jermey next time in TO, the beers on you !!

First to placeorder eh !!!

You're climbing the long tail. The first 900,000 is pretty flat :)

Just ordered my copy. :-)

Just put up a podcast with Shel on PodTech.net

Great stuff.

John / Shel: Great interview, just finishing it up now :)

Uh, you guys better get this book done. Here's your ranking this morning:

Amazon.com Sales Rank: #3,674 in Books

Congrats! I've learned so much from you.

congrats !!!

Congrats! Must feel good!

Congratulations, will certainly be buying a copy of the book. Suggest you put the Amazon and Google ads at the top right of your blog. You'll get a lot more click throughs that way. Alternatively you can place the ads directly in this blog post.
