Dan Gillmor, author of "We the Media," has agreed to write a forward for The Red Couch. We are thrilled and honored. Dan's book, and his decision to get Blogosphere guidance in writing it, was a major inspiration for how we our conducting this project out here in fromt of you all. Dan focused on blogging's impact on traditional journalism, and the emergence of grassroots journalism, we are focusing on business.
After a ten-year tenure, Dan recently stepped out of the San Jose Mercury to start a new grassroots journalism project. In doing so, tech journalism lost one of its most respected and articulate voices and blogging gained and impassioned pioneer.
This, of course, is based on the assumption that he likes our book once itgets written.
